Eclectic2 is an instrumental studio band that records unique rock compositions that are influenced by many styles of music. The band members, Joe Hernandez and Paul Martin, reside in Southern California. The band started recording in the summer of 2015 and released its first album, a 5-song EP, in January 2016 called Bookends Seven.

The band has released 2 other EPs (Opus 357 and Bassics) and released their first full length album in 2021 called Higher Plane. Four videos are now available based on songs from Higher Plane.

Eclectic2's next full length album will be released in 2022. Paul writes the songs and records many of the instruments himself (guitars, keyboards, bass, trumpet, trombone, saxophone, flute, mandolin, and harmonica). Joe provides the drums and percussion, mixing, mastering, album cover and website creation. Joe also serves as musical adviser and producer.
